The Ocala Campus Student Life Department is looking for volunteers to assist with Welcome Stations around the Ocala Campus on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 8 and 9, for one hour between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Locations will be Center Lawn, outside the bookstore in Building 36, and in the lobby of the Ewers Century
Jason Steuber, director of the Appleton Museum of Art, was recently recognized for his book “Arts of Korea: Histories, Challenges, and Perspectives.” Steuber co-authored the book with Allysa B. Peyton while serving at the Harn Museum in Gainesville. They received the ARLIS/NA Southeast Chapter Mary Ellen LoPresti Publication Award in the Scholarly Publication Category.
The CF Foundation has received a $124,000 grant from the Citrus County Hospital Board to fund the purchase of two high-fidelity patient simulators for the Nursing program at the Citrus Campus. The CF Patriot Pantry is collecting donations of nonperishable food items to provide to CF students in need for the Thanksgiving and winter breaks. Food will be distributed to students at all locations on Nov. 25-26 and Dec. 11-12. Holiday-themed foods are especially needed. Gift cards or cash to purchase fresh food are also welcomed.
