43 Patriot Athletes Named to All-Academic Teams

The College of Central Florida student-athletes showed out in the classroom during the 2017-18 academic year, garnering all-conference, all-state and NJCAA All-Academic team honors.

Forty three Patriot student-athletes were named to the Mid-Florida All-Academic team (registering a 3.0 GPA or higher), with 29 of those athletes receiving FCSAA All-Academic team honors (3.3 GPA or higher). This was an increase of 10 percent from the 2017-2018 academic year.

Baseball led all teams with 16 MFC All-Academic team selections, followed by softball (11), volleyball (7), women’s basketball (7), and men’s basketball (2). Baseball and softball led the way with nine FCSAA All-Academic team members, followed by volleyball (6) and women’s basketball (5).

Sixteen student-athletes were named to NJCAA All-Academic teams, an honor awarded to student-athletes with a 3.60-4.00 GPA. Volleyball led the way with 5 selections, followed by softball and women’s basketball with four honorees, and baseball with three.

All names listed below are student-athletes who were named to the MFC All-Academic Team. Those with (*) were also named to FCSAA All-Academic Team. Those with (**) were named to FCSAA All-Academic team & NJCAA Academic All-Americans.
