‘Art of the Fidget Mat’ at Citrus Campus

The Citrus Campus will host “The Art of the Fidget Mat” Oct. 20 through Nov. 30 on the second floor of the Dorothea Jerome Building. An opening reception featuring live music will take place 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, during Citrus County Aware for Alzheimer’s Week. A Fidget Mat ― sometimes also referred to as a fiddle mat or an activity apron ― is a unique work of fabric art created to be used by a person with Alzheimer’s or dementia to entertain, keep themselves occupied, and make use of their hands.
