Artwork of John Romaine at Citrus Campus

The artwork of John Romaine will be on display at the Citrus Campus Sept. 15 through Oct. 11 on the second floor of the Dorothea Jerome Building. Romaine grew up in northern Virginia and studied fine art and illustration at Northern Virginia Community College. He lived on Maui, Hawaii, for 17 years and moved to Florida in 2008. His artwork can be found in Florida galleries and at art and craft shows in Marion and Citrus counties. “As a boy, our family trips to Florida seemed to offer a fascinating variety of wild animals and unique plants for me to observe,” Romaine said. “I feel such a peacefulness in places where nature flourishes, that it has become a very important artistic theme for me.”
