CF and (F)actor Theatre Present “Bus Stop” July 28-30

William Inge’s thought-provoking play “Bus Stop” will be presented July 28-30 at the College of Central Florida Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 S.W. College Road.

The production is a collaboration of CF Visual and Performing Arts and (F)Actor Theatre, Ocala’s newest theater endeavor, founded by Janet Shelley, West Port High School, and Kirstin Kennedy, Ocala Civic Theatre.

“Bus Stop” examines love and its manifestation at various levels. The main characters are marooned in a diner during a blizzard. As the play develops the characters come to terms with their individual romantic statuses.

In interviews, Inge said that he viewed the play as an experiment in which he could examine different kinds of love, from innocence to depravity, and thought of “Bus Stop” as a comedy.

The play contains adult language and content. The production is environmental, meaning that the audience will be seated within the confines of the set. Patrons will have a choice of seating options: general seating at $10 or VIP seating on the set with light snack and beverage service for $15.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
