CF Webber Gallery Reopens with Solo Exhibition, Oct. 12-Nov. 5

The Webber Center is excited to announce the opening of “Pre-Conception,” a solo exhibition of sculptures by Russell Bellamy, and the official reopening of the Webber Gallery to the public. The exhibition will run from Oct. 12- Nov. 5.

Bellamy’s artwork utilizes industrial materials and processes to comment on labor, sociological/psychological structures, and behavioral expectations. He is influenced by the proximity of urban and rural landscapes and the mutually beneficial structures and aesthetics that create the areas and spaces in between. The exhibition will showcase floor-based interactive sculptures alongside relief wall-based sculptures.

Bellamy grew up in Lexington, Kentucky.  He studied art at Georgetown College and received a Master in Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati.  He has exhibited his work throughout the United States as well as presenting in Europe, New Zealand and Dubai.  Bellamy is currently an associate professor of Art and department chair at Beacon College.

The Webber Gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Masks will be required to enter the gallery.

Any questions about the exhibit can be directed to Gallery Coordinator Paul Shortt at shorttp@CF.edu.
