Custom Benefits Open Enrollment Extended Through Nov. 30

Custom Benefits open enrollment has been extended through Friday, Nov. 30. Late this month, the IRS released the 2019 Index Figures accounting for a $50 salary reduction increase for the Medical Flexible Spending Account Annual Limit. The increase has gone from a cap limit of $2,650 to $2,700, effective with the 2019 plan year.

If you wish to increase your FSA limit to the max contribution amount of $2,700, you have until Nov. 30, 2018.

Flexible Spending Account Enrollment:
First time enrollees will need to submit a paper application by Nov. 30. Please contact Human Resources (klepferj@cf.edu or ext. 1291) if you need a paper application. Custom Benefits will also have paper applications when they are on campus. 

Online enrollment is only for employees who are currently in the plan or have participated in the plan previously. We are extending the FSA online enrollment period through Nov. 30 at midnight.

Online enrollment can be completed at www.myflexonline.com. Please see instructions listed on the CF Benefits Website.

As a reminder, if you enrolled in the PPO Blue Options Plan 05190/1 Health Savings Account medical plan for 2019, please be aware of the following restrictions related to the flexible spending account enrollment:

  • Restrictions of the Health Savings Account include employees who enroll in the H.S.A. cannot be enrolled in another insurance plan. This includes:
    o Medicare, Medicaid or other health insurance (example: TRICARE).
    o Cannot have access to a Flexible Spending Account –OR- a Health Reimbursement Account.
  • “Access” refers to your own FSA or HRA account, or any other account that you would be considered as a dependent (example: a spouse’s FSA or HRA account through another employer).

You must re-enroll each year in the Flexible Spending Account in order to make a new monetary election for the new plan year.

In addition to the Flexible Spending Account, open enrollment has been extended through Nov. 30 for the following benefits offered through Custom Benefits:
