EAP Enhancements Starting Jan. 1

Bilingual Emotional Support Helpline – For all full-time and part-time Staff

Florida Blue launched a 24-hour, free emotional support helpline for all Floridians, in partnership with New Directions Behavioral Health. Any Floridian – even if uninsured or insured by another plan – can call 833-848-1762 for support in managing feelings of stress, anxiety, grief or fear related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Counselors cannot provide information on COVID-19 testing or treatment.

Effective Jan. 1, 2021 – Introducing BetterHelp Online Therapy!
New Directions Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is making an important change to your online therapy option.

As a reminder, your EAP offers several avenues for support – and online therapy gives employees the ability to connect with a therapist via messaging, chat and video. Currently that is done through a partnership with Talkspace. To better serve you, New Directions is switching vendors, and online therapy will be accessed via BetterHelp.

Transition details

Employees will officially have access to BetterHelp on Jan. 1, 2021. Employees will register with CF’s company code (ccf) via betterhelp.com/newdirections or through eap.ndbh.com and selecting “Request Counseling.”

FAQs

Employees using Talkspace

Employees currently accessing EAP counseling sessions through Talkspace will have 120 days following January 1, 2021 to complete those sessions with their current therapist. Once the 120 days are completed, they will need to register with BetterHelp to access additional sessions.
