AFC Professional Development Session: Promoting a Culture of Equality and Inclusion, Dec. 14

December 14, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Association of Florida Colleges is pleased to announce the Association of Florida Colleges’ new Professional Development Series: Access AFC!   The series will kick off its first webinar for AFC Institutional Members on Monday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. All employees at the College of Central Florida, whether members or nonmembers of the AFC, may register and attend this first webinar.

The webinar, Promoting a Culture of Equality and Inclusion, will take a deep dive into our diverse workplaces. It is critical to understand that diversity is not synonymous with inclusion. This workshop addresses eradicating one’s stereotypes, biases, and “ism’s” in order to learn about others so that capitalizing and leveraging their strengths becomes a natural part of including them in the work process. The discussion continues with a dialogue on how to build diverse teams and advantages of diversity like avoiding groupthink, building upon each other’s’ unique strengths, and producing creative and innovative solutions to the challenges faced in the workplace.

Register to attend

The AFC partnered with Alpha UMi Inc. to develop professional development skills training webinars to provide for its Institutional Members throughout the state.
