Dr. Jennifer Fryns, dean of Arts and Education, was selected to attend the 2017 Chancellor’s Leadership Seminar in May.Hosted by Madeline Pumariega, Chancellor of the Florida College System, and her staff, the three-day program is designed for individuals at the colleges pursuing advancement to senior-level positions within the system. Sessions focused on leadership, resource management, briefings on key issues faced system-wide and increased understanding of how to assess and manage campus culture, and included interactions with current and former Presidents in the Florida College System. The featured speaker and workshop leader was Davis Jenkins (Community College Research Center, Columbia), author of Redesigning America’s Community Colleges: A Clearer Path to Student Success.
