The Culture Vultures, a resident club of Del Webb Stone Creek held a fundraiser for the Visual and Performing Arts Department in the fall. The group raised $2,000.

Sabal Trail Transmission presented $50,000 to the CF Foundation to establish a student scholarship fund, and Del Webb Stone Creek presented $2,000 to the Visual and Performing Arts Department to support the college’s instrumental music program.

“We realize that all too often students do not graduate because of financial hardships, so scholarships are critical in helping students to complete their degrees,” said Andrea Grover, Sabal Trail Transmission director of stakeholder outreach. “Sabal Trail Transmission is happy to partner with the College of Central Florida Foundation to offer this scholarship opportunity to help support students’ academic endeavors.”

The $50,000 contribution will provide scholarships to CF students in good academic standing who have financial need or who are facing a financial hardship and are near completion of their degree.

CF Foundation Executive Director Chris Knife said, “We applaud Sabal Trail Transmission’s commitment to helping students maintain momentum toward earning their degree.”
