Friday Talks: The Impact of Poverty on Marion County Businesses and Residents

With Karla Grimsley, CEO, Interfaith Emergency Services, Friday, Dec. 8, at the Hampton Center. Doors open at 8 a.m. and presentation is at 8:30 a.m. Join the discussion about the true level of poverty in Marion County and learn about the services that Interfaith and other agencies are providing to ease the burden for families in need. During the 2016 holiday season, Interfaith provided grocery assistance to more than 1,900 families, which translates to nearly 4,000 individuals. More than 2,000 people received clothing and every family was given a turkey or ham for the holidays thanks to the generosity of the community. RSVP to Danielle@OcalaCEP.com.
