Marti Estep Paintings on Display at Citrus Campus

The abstract expressionist paintings of Marti Estep will be on display through April 21 in the upper level of the Dorothea Jerome Building at the Citrus Campus.

Estep had a career in nonprofit management for many years. She retired to Citrus County in 2008 and has been able to fully focus on painting. Her art has been purchased by large and small businesses including IBM Corporation and the Columbus Public Library in Ohio, PNC Bank in Orlando, and the PNC Tower in Pittsburgh.

She currently sells her work through the Florida Artist Gallery, Floral City, her website www.martiestep.com, and local art festivals.  Estep is passionate about nature and this is reflected in her expressionist paintings which are vibrant and spirited.

“My art has transitioned from realism to abstract to now somewhere in between,” said Estep. “My art is expressive, represents nature, and is neither fully abstract nor fully representational. I enjoy working with color and media and this guides my work on my paintings. I am currently enjoying working on large canvases.”

The exhibit may be viewed Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
