National Artifact at Ocala Campus March 24

The gavel used by President George Washington to dedicate the cornerstone of the U.S. Capital will be on view from 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the Stearns Learning Resources Center.

The national artifact will be in Ocala March 23-25 in the care of three Freemasons from the Washington, D.C., Masonic Potomac Lodge No. 5 A.F. and A.M.

The gavel travels several times a year throughout the country.

The public may also view it Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marion-Dunn No. 19 Masonic Lodge, 1846 S.E. 36th Ave., Ocala.
