New Electronic Resources Available Through CF Library

CF Library has some new e-resources for 2018. To get into these or any of the other Library databases, first log into MyCF, select Library on the left sidebar, click on the red Search Library button, then click the Databases A-Z tab.

PrepSTEP (EBSCO)

PrepSTEP tests and instructs students in basic math, English, science, and computer skills, as well as preparation for college and graduate school entrance exams and occupational testing. Among the occupational tests are those for nursing and allied health fields, teaching (including FTCE General Knowledge), law enforcement, emergency medical services, and firefighting. Users create their own accounts so their individual progress can be saved and built upon.

Daily Life through History (ABC-CLIO)

The link to Daily Life does not yet show up in our database listing, but is expected to appear any day now. Daily Life offers primary and secondary source material for periods from prehistory to the present day, in areas spanning the globe. It also links time periods to literary works. From the publisher: The database explores the daily lives of ordinary people through time and across the globe, providing details about family life, work, food, clothing, sports, language, literature, romance, education, gender roles, social customs, and more.

Visible Body (Ovid) enhanced content

Last year, we began offering the Human Anatomy Atlas, an e-resource rich in graphics. This year we are able to add enhanced content through additional modules Muscle Premium, Skeleton Premium, Physiology Animations, and Heart & Circulatory Premium.
