Noncredit Courses Being Offered in January, February

The college will offer six noncredit business classes in January and February at the Ocala Campus. Full-time employees may used tuition waivers to pay the class fee.

Introduction to Office provides a basic overview of Microsoft Office Suite 2016 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Class will meet Tuesdays, Jan. 17-31, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Class fee is $75.

Green Belt Certification Prep will prepare students for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Exam offered by the American Society for Quality. This is an instructor led course, taught by Six Sigma Black Belt. Class will meet Fridays, Jan. 27-April 7, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Class fee is $899 and includes ASQ membership, exam fee, manual and instruction.

Basic Excel 2016 covers topics such as navigating Excel, naming tabs, creating spreadsheets, basic formulas and formatting tables. Class will meet Thursdays, Feb. 16-March 9, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Class fee is $85.

AutoCAD Certification is a prep course for AutoDesk 2016 certification. Participants must demonstrate completion of AutoCAD class or sufficient work experience. Students must have a laptop and will download free AutoCAD software. Class will meet Wednesdays Feb. 1-March 29, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Class fee is $599 and includes certification exam fees.

Blueprint Reading provides students with skills for entry level employment in various manufacturing settings. Topics include mechanical and electrical blueprint reading. Class includes hands-on activities. Class will meet Fridays, Feb. 17 and Feb. 24, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Class fee is $275 and includes manuals.

Leadership Toolbox covers leadership fundamentals such as the true meaning of leadership, vital leadership traits, personal development, and how to lead your employees effectively. The interactive format incorporates real-world examples, practical application and personal coaching activities. Class will meet Fridays, Feb. 10, 24, and March 10, from 1-5 p.m. Class fee is $259. Textbook is $15.
