You are invited to the next Yoga Workshop: Journey from Half Sun Salutation (Ardha Surya Namaskar) to Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Instructional Center, Building 9, Room 101. This flow practice effectively loosens both the front and back of the body, especially the hamstrings and low back. It gently promotes circulation of breath and blood. The poses will strengthen and lengthen major muscle groups. Students are invited to treat this sequencing as a prayer and meditation in motion. In India, these sequences are used as an expression of giving gratitude and honoring the sun for its light and energy. This class is accessible to all levels from new to seasoned yogis and yoginis.
