At CF, we are proud of our continued support of the Marion County Heart Association. As we prepare for the 2016 Heart Walk, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, we want to remind you that every year volunteers just like you are helping us create a legacy of cardiovascular health here in Marion County.
Did you know that last year alone more than 14,000 people were trained in lifesaving CPR or that all of our hospitals utilize the AHA’s “Get With the Guidelines” programs to provide a consistent system of care for cardiovascular and stroke patients? Your donations make this possible.
We need your help to ensure a successful outcome for the Heart Walk and CF. Since 2007, there has been an 8.8 percent reduction in cardiovascular deaths and a 10 percent reduction in stroke deaths. Despite all the progress, heart disease remains the No. 1 killer of Americans.
Don’t forget, the Heart Walk is a family affair. Feel free to have family members register for the walk, as well. All walkers making a donation of $10 or more will receive a Team CF Heart Walk T-shirt. Thank you for your support!
