‘100 Years of Toys’ on display at CF Citrus

The exhibition “The Joy for Girls and Boys – Toys through the Decades” is on display at the College of Central Florida Citrus Campus through Aug. 10 on the second floor of the Dorothea Jerome Building, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway.

On loan from the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum in downtown Inverness, the exhibit features toys and their stories through the decades.

“Playthings expand our imagination and teach us creative and innovative ways. They help kids to learn how to socialize, play, interact, grow and develop self-regulation and control skills,” said Kathy Turner Thompson, Citrus County Historical Resources manager. “Toys have been a part of us since the beginning time and we are so grateful for the outpouring of toys on loan to make this exhibition possible.”

The exhibit may be viewed Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
