Stearns Speaker Series: “Election 2024: Generational Change in Florida”

Faculty, staff and students are invited to the annual Stearns Speaker Series event on Monday, Sept. 16, 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Learning Resources Center on the Ocala Campus. This year’s speaker is Dr. Susan MacManus, a renowned political analyst.

The presentation, “Election 2024: Generational Change in Florida,” will offer nonpartisan insights on the American presidential election

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be available.

About the Speaker

An author and retired distinguished professor of political science from University of South Florida, Dr. Susan MacManus believes the American presidential election cycle is one of the most hyped, consequential processes in which we all can be involved. She will share her expertise on current election issues and trends, including the growing political clout of millennials and Gen Zers, generational difference in candidate preferences, contrasting issues, voter turnout and media reliance.
