Wear Your Wings Domestic Violence Walk, Oct. 5

CF employees are invited to attend the Wear Your Wings domestic violence walk on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Ocala Campus to honor domestic violence victims. The walk honors former CF Associate Professor Debra Vazquez, who lost her life in 2004 as a result of domestic violence. Vazquez taught English, literature, and creative writing at CF for many years and established “Imprints” literary magazine, serving as advisor of the award-winning publication until 2004. To volunteer at the event, click here to complete an interest form or contact Karla Wilson at ext. 1263, or wilsonkb@cf.edu. All proceeds benefit victims and survivors of domestic violence.
If you would like to participate in the 5K, the AFC CF Chapter has formed a group. You can join via the Wear Your Wings 5K – select to join an existing team and choose “CFPats” in the dropdown menu.
Please park in the Dassance Fine Arts (Building 4) parking lot and meet by the Bell Tower. Registration and packet pick up is at 7 a.m. Race begins at 8 a.m.
