The Career and Professional Employees Council Whale Done! Award was presented to Marjorie McGee at the June CPEC meeting. The previous holder, Jason Griffis, chose McGee with these comments:
“I want to nominate someone who consistently upholds the highest PRIDE standards. She is always professional, kind, and willing to answer any staff or students’ questions. In addition, she actively participates in various campus events and promotes collaboration.
“When it comes to addressing issues, she is a beacon of reliability, promptly providing guidance or clarification. Her in-depth understanding of policies that impact both staff and students is a valuable asset in keeping everyone on track. I have complete confidence in her ability to follow through on any task, ensuring its correct and timely completion. Her knack for anticipating student needs and effective problem-solving further underscores her reliability.
For these reasons, I would like to pass the Whale Done! Award to Marjorie McGee!”
The CPEC Whale Done! Award is presented from a peer who sincerely appreciates the efforts of another, on behalf of the College of Central Florida, and wishes for that individual to be recognized. This award is passed from employee to employee and is presented during the quarterly CPEC Council meetings.
