Artist Call for Webber Gallery “Constellation” Exhibition

The Webber Gallery is looking for artists interested in having their work displayed to take part in their upcoming exhibition, “Constellation.” The exhibition will run from May 25-July 16. Please read the full details below, and stop by to get your paper. If you would like to participate in this upcoming exhibition, stop by the Webber gallery during our hours, Monday -Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., to sign up and receive your piece(s) of paper and instruction sheet. Artwork is due to the Webber by May 1, with the show occurring from May 25-July 16.

Constellation Details/Instructions:

The imagery used is fully up to the interpretation of the artist: examine the classical zodiac, use traditional imagery, be completely abstract, or reimagine the idea and definition of a constellation.

The following are the limits/rules of artwork accepted into the show:

  • the image must be created with “Prussian blue” (a specific shade of blue), and white and/or gold
  • no other colors allowed
  • materials can be ink, paint, cyanotype, collage, etc.
  • the image itself will be 8” x 10” created on a slightly larger piece of paper that we will provide (vertical or horizontal)
  • the artist must come by the gallery to pick up their submission packet (the specific paper, sign-up sheet for artist, and basic instruction!)
  • the paper is approximately 11” x 14” in size; image should be centered in the middle; take up no more than 8” x 10”; space around the edges for framing
  • must return the finished artwork by May 1 to allow time for framing
