Math Awareness Event April 13
Join the Math Department for its annual Math Awareness event on Wednesday, April 13, 12:15 p.m.- 2 p.m. in Building 7 on the Ocala Campus. Together we will learn about the greatest mathematicians and how they contributed to the founding of the subject as we know it. Plus, discover the vital role that math can play in your career.
We will also be joined by the STEM Club. Dr. Toro-Clarke, STEM Club Co-Advisor, will introduce the club and discuss how mathematics plays an important role in the STEM discipline. In addition, guest speaker Cody Chism from the U.S. Marine Corps will give a presentation on nuclear engineering.
There will be free food, drinks, giveaways and prizes, too!
