National Library Week, April 7-13
Come celebrate the Ocala Campus library during National Library Week April 7-13 at the Learning Resources Center, Building 3. Stop by for snacks, library trivia and a chance to win a prize package that includes an Amazon gift card. Check out any library material or ask a question to enter and win a $25 Visa gift card. Plan to attend the “Library Out Loud” lecture series on Wednesday, April 10, at 12:30 and 2 p.m. in the Learning Commons of the Learning Resources Center with CF alum, hiker, award-winning author and creator of FloridaHikes.com, Sandra Friend. Tickets are not required and entry is free. Attend to win a copy of “50 Hikes in Central Florida” and “Five-Star Trails: Gainesville and Ocala.”
Two speaker sessions will be offered. 50 Hikes and More: Hiking Central Florida will be at 12:30 p.m. and Alligators Everywhere: Outdoor Writing in Florida will be at 2 p.m.
Daily prize drawings at 2 p.m. and the grand prize drawing for a $100 Dick’s Sporting Goods gift card will be on Wednesday, April 10. Need not be present to win. For more information, call the Library at ext. 1344.
