OPD Workshop: ‘Conquering Student Loan Debt’, Sept. 28
Join the next professional development workshop on “Conquering Student Loan Debt, on Friday, Sept. 28, from noon-1 p.m. in the Learning Resources Center, Room 112. Lunch will be provided.
Did you know? Nationally seven out of 10 college graduates owe an average of $30,000 in student loans. Americans owe more than $1.3 trillion in student loan debt, more than auto and credit card debt, exceeded only by home mortgage. In 2015, the U.S. Department of Education reported that 7 million borrows defaulted on their student loan debt. Reserve your seat today for this educational program from VALIC. Attendees will strategies on using a repayment plan that makes the most sense, who is responsible for loan repayment when the borrower dies, and the consequences of defaulting on a student loan.
