SUMMARY:Earth Day: Potting Plants\, Dog Toys and Clothing Swap
DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday\, April 16\, 12:30-1:30 in Bedford Plaza to begin celebrating Earth Day and start relieving some stress! We will be potting plants\, swapping clothing and making dog toys out of T-shirts. Have some clothing you want to share? Bring them to this event. We are looking for students to “swap” clothing: bring some – take some. Clean out those closets! You can also make a recycled dog toy that will be shared with local shelters and take home the plant you pot while supplies last. Enjoy a fun and tasty “dirt cup”! Be sure to bring your student id. \nPlease remember events sponsored by the Student Activities Board are for enrolled students. SUMMARY:Math Awareness Day: Hidden Mathematics in Ordinary Careers
DESCRIPTION:The Math department will host its annual Math Awareness event on Wednesday\, April 16\, 12:30-2 p.m.\, entitled\, ”Hidden Mathematics in Ordinary Careers.” The event will take place in the Main Hallway of Building 7( Math Building). There will be features on the importance of how the subject plays in many different career fields. The Math department will also be joined by the CF STEM Club. Mathematics is a huge part of the STEM discipline. In addition\, there will be important information that displays the vital role the subject of Math plays in a career perspective. There will be quizzes pertaining to the subject of math\, free food\, drinks\, giveaways and prizes. \nQuestions?
