DESCRIPTION:David Kirby is the author of more than 30 books of poetry and essays. His honors include multiple Pushcart prizes\, the Brittingham Prize\, and fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the winner of the Florida Book Award and the Millennium Cultural Recognition Award. Dr. Kirby has taught at Florida State University since 1969.
