SUMMARY:2026 CF Fall Play: 'The Illusion'
DESCRIPTION:College of Central Florida theatre students invite the community to come enjoy the evening as they present “The Illusion” live on stage Oct. 22-25. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday\, Friday and Saturday\, Oct. 22-24\, and 3 p.m. Sunday\, Oct. 25. \nFirst performed in 1990\, the play is a retelling of a 17th century French comedy\, “L’Illusion Comique.” Directed by Visual and Performing Arts faculty member R.J. Magee\, the play mixes romance\, humor\, mystery and suspense. \nTickets are $12 for adults and $6 for non-CF students and can be purchased at cf.universitytickets.com or by calling 352-873-5810. DESCRIPTION:CF departments are invited to participate in the Learning Lab School’s “No Tricks\, Only Treats Costume Parade” at the Ocala Campus\, Building 20\, Friday\, Oct. 24\, 9:30-11 a.m. The set-up time will be 9:30 a.m. and the children will arrive at 10 a.m. to visit each table for treats. \nThere will be approximately 70 children participating. Please consider a healthy\, safe treat for children ages one to five\, such as raisins\, fruit gummies\, play dough or crayons. DESCRIPTION:Attention ALL CF Employees! \nDo you have an innovative idea\, procedure\, course\, program or activity that would provide an improved educational experience for CF students? There is a total of $9\,500 in New Initiative Grants available! \nThe application packet with details is posted on the following webpage:  https://inside.cf.edu/forms/found.htm. \nApplications are due in the CF Foundation office by 4:30 p.m.\, Friday\, April 16\, 2027. \nAll eligible CF full-time employees are invited to apply. Eligible candidates must have completed one full year of CF full-time service by July 1\, 2027. \nThese grants will fund any project or activity chosen by the selection committee that promotes the college’s goals\, learning centered values and vision on our campuses and in our community. \n#1. Category V New Initiative Endowment Grant for Career Service category employees: \n\nA $3\,000 total award: $500 honorarium with $2\,500 to fund the project or activity\n\n#2. Category V New Initiative Endowment Grant for Administrative / Professional /Technology category employees: \n\nA $3\,000 total award: $500 honorarium with $2\,500 to fund the project or activity\n\n#3. Category V New Initiative Endowed Grant – Collegewide (open to all CF employees – faculty\, career service\, administrative and professional) \n\nA $3\,500 total grant: $500 honorarium with $3\,000 to fund the project or activity\n\nCriteria: (out-of-the-box thinking) These grants are intended to promote educational innovation\, creativity\, and risk-taking.
