International Film Series Presents ‘The Sea Inside’ Sept. 27

The College of Central Florida International Film Series will present “The Sea Inside,” a 2004 Spanish drama.

The film will be shown Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Appleton Museum of Art and at 7 p.m. in Building 8, Room 110, at the CF Ocala Campus.

Academy Award winner Javier Bardem is the star of this film that retells the true story of Spanish fisherman Ramon Sampedro. Sampedro, who is left quadriplegic at the age of 26 from a diving accident, led a 28-year campaign in support of euthanasia and the right to end his life.

Winner for the 2004 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, “The Sea Inside” is rated PG-13 and will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. The film is 125 minutes long.

At the Appleton, viewers pay museum admission unless they are a museum member or a patron of the CF International Film Series.
