New Library Resource: American National Biography

American National Biography, an award-winning reference resource from Oxford University Press, is now available online through the CF Library. When it first appeared in print in 1999 as the successor to the Dictionary of American Biography, the ANB was hailed as a more inclusive and representative collective biography, covering all eras and walks of life. Now online and covering more than 19,000 individuals, entries are continuously being added and updated.

Searches can be done by occupation, gender, time period, or keyword, as well as by name. Individuals must be deceased to be included. Check it daily for the “Life of the Day.” Find ANB listed among the Library databases.
