Musical Theatre will present “Sondheim on Sondheim,” a 2010 musical review. Performances will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m. in the Dassance Fine Arts Center at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
This is a multimedia revue that includes video segments reflecting on Sondheim’s life and musical works.
The songs are from 19 Sondheim shows produced over a 62-year period including “West Side Story,” “Company,” “Follies,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “Sunday in the Park with George,” “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Passion” and “Into The Woods.”
The show is directed by Jason Longtin, associate professor of music with the CF Visual and Performing Arts Department.
Adult tickets are $12 and non-CF student tickets are $6. CF students, faculty and staff tickets are free with CF ID. The Box Office is located in the lobby of the Dassance Fine Arts Center; hours are 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and it is open one hour prior to show times. The show is rated PG-13 for some adult content and language.
