Speaker Clayton Raithel, Sept. 19

CF and the Suicide Prevention Project will host Clayton Raithel and his “Comedy as Therapy” special event on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 12:30-1:30 p.m., in the Dassance Fine Arts Center. This is a free event. Comedy is often seen as a defense mechanism that is used to avoid our problems. Writer, performer, and comedian Clayton Raithel doesn’t see it that way. Through the process of writing his autobiographical one-man comedy show, Smile, Clayton learned that thinking like a comedian actually involves many of the same skills and techniques used in talk therapy.
