The Association of Florida Colleges CF Chapter Executive Board would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in the holiday AFC fundraiser. They raised $934.10! The winner of the gift card tree was Dr. Cynthia Moody. Dr. Moody decided to donate her award towards AFC’s cause to support the two schools in the Panhandle area that experienced extensive hurricane damage. In an act of instant generosity, Dr. Henningsen made the decision to purchase the gift card tree and provide AFC with a check to facilitate donation purposes. Dr. Henningsen proceeded to gift the tree to Jerelyn (JJ) Zacke as a thank you gesture for her invaluable efforts in assisting with the dental program in the absence of a Program Manager and getting the dental program re-accredited.
CF AFC will be sending a check to the AFC Foundation for a total of $825. This amount includes $225 generously donated in November by CF Faculty and Staff, the $300 from the gift card tree, and $300 that AFC CF will add from the Christmas tree fundraising efforts. What a great way to end the year!
