Whale Done Award Passed on to Jean Imes

The Career and Professional Employees Council previous Whale Done Award winner MaryAnn Toth from the Criminal Justice Institute passed the Whale Done Award to Jean Imes, Assistant Director in Financial Aid.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jean ever since she transitioned over to the Financial Aid Department. During my time in Student Accounts, whether it involved working on a project, helping me with a student account issue, or explaining the ins and outs of financial aid to a student– she was always helpful and willing to squeeze a minute out of her busy day to answer a question. If the answer was not readily available, she would get back to me in record time. While I don’t get to interact with Jean as much since moving over to Criminal Justice, she still reaches out to our department to help get financial aid to those who need it but may not know that they can get it. I can wholeheartedly say that Jean lives up to every aspect of our Service Standards:

Professional
Responsive
Informative
Dependable
Engaged

The Whale Done award is a traveling trophy which is passed quarterly from the current award holder to another person on campus who has gone above and beyond in service to the college and/or that individual.
