Join CF to help raise money for the American Heart Association. There are a variety of ways CF employees can get involved, whether it’s through the Windows of Hearts, CF Cares T-shirt sales, breakfast and/or the Heart Walk, there are different ways that all employees can make a difference.
Windows of Hearts
Join the CF American Heart Association team “Walking Warriors” in supporting the 2018 Heart Walk by posting red hearts on the “Windows of Hearts” in the Patriot Cafe. Hearts are $1 and can be posted “in memory of” or “I support” someone that is important to you. If you would like to purchase a heart, contact Susan Murphy at murphysu@cf.edu or your team captain and one will be delivered to you for a signature and then placed in the window.
CF Cares T-shirt
Need any extra t-shirt for a friend or loved one. Purchase a We Are CF/CF Cares t-shirt for $10. The money will be donated to the American Heart Association.
Heart Walk Breakfast
All CF employees are invited to the American Heart Association Heart Walk breakfast on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Patriot Cafe. Enjoy scrambled eggs, grits or hash browns, bacon or sausage, biscuit and juice, coffee and tea. Cost is $6 per person and benefits the American Heart Association. Heart Walk on Oct. 6
CF will participate in the 2018 Marion County Heart Walk — held at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Baseline Trailhead — to support the American Heart Association to help our community’s fight against heart disease and stroke. Please get involved by signing up for the walk and generating enthusiasm for this important cause.
Last year, more than 100 CF employees, friends and family members participated in the walk and raised more than $8,000 for the American Heart Association. To reach that number again, we’ll need at least 10 teams to participate this year.

To date, we have three teams registered. Dr. Charles McIntosh with the assistance of Susan Murphy will once again lead CF’s efforts this year. A special thanks to them for the work they are doing! We need your help to find additional team leaders.
Please participate with CF by leading a team or joining an existing team:
- Visit MarionHeartWalk.org.
- Click “Register and Join Heart Walk.”
- To sign up as a coach click “Start a Team” and select CF from the “New Team Under Group” drop-down menu. Enter your “Team Name” and “Team Fundraising Goal. Then click “Next” to finish your registration.
- To join an existing team, click “Join a Team” and select CF from the drop-down menu. Review the list of teams under CF and click “Join Team” next to the team you want. Finish your registration by completing the remaining steps.
