Important Jenzabar and Bookstore Updates

  • Financial Aid: This summer, CF found inaccuracies in student records that had to be resolved prior to disbursing financial aid. A group of employees came together to work every day to resolve the issues, and we were successful in disbursing aid. Our financial aid department has now moved forward with largescale automated disbursements for Summer. The team is still working through some complex records from the Summer semester (with less than 300 remaining). CF is committed to resolving the issues that led to the delay so that financial aid for fall is disbursed in a timely manner. More information available at www.CF.edu/Update.
  • Fall Billing and Drop for Nonpayment: Billing for fall opened Wednesday, Aug. 5. Due to the delay in opening billing, CF has moved the Drop for Nonpayment date from Aug. 3 to Aug. 17. Any students who have not paid their tuition in full (or have sufficient financial aid to cover the balance) will be dropped on Aug. 17. Faculty are asked to review their rosters frequently starting Aug. 18 to verify accuracy.
  • Bookstore: CF shifted bookstore providers from Barnes & Noble to BibliU in July, and the new BibliU campus store is now open at the same location in building 36 on the Ocala campus. As part of the new campus store offerings, students now have access to the MyCF Books program, which provides day-one access to course materials directly in Canvas at a discounted rate ($20.67 per credit hour). Students are automatically opted into the program and will have the option to opt out (students must opt out of ALL classes for the semester, not individual courses) and source their own course materials during the add/drop period. More information is available at www.CF.edu/Bookstore.
  • Summer Final Grades: All final grades for Summer are due no later than Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. We have a very short turnaround for getting records updated prior to the start of the fall term. Any grades that are missing after 10 a.m. on Aug. 11 will be marked as Not Reported, the equivalent to an F, which could impact students’ eligibility to receive financial aid or graduate. To that end, please submit your grades as soon as possible – do not delay until the last possible moment.
