QEP Proposal Worksheets are due Feb. 15 for those who wish to present a project for CF’s next QEP. Didn’t submit an intent to propose, no problem. Submit your idea anyway!

 You might have heard that CF received the go ahead to request to apply to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) for accreditation. The process to transition can be lengthy and will overlap with the SACSCOC timeline. Even if we switch to HLC before implementation, Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) efforts will continue and our project will be accomplished through other avenues, Title III being one possibility. Please consider submitting a proposal or joining others in the effort.

Project ideas submitted so far, include

• Digital badging, a new method of communicating transferable skills, which involves college and community partnerships
• Digital and information literacy
• Expanded advising model; success coaching; faculty and peer mentoring
• Pathways revisited, expanded to include academic and social-emotional support
• Point-of-need orientation, improving resource-sharing and communication
• Resources focused on the needs of specific student populations, first gen/FTIC, Hispanic, international, nontraditional
