Hurricane Relief: Donations and Volunteers Needed

Donations and volunteers are needed to help the faculty, staff and students at Florida SouthWestern State College who were impacted by Hurricane Ian.

If you would like to contribute water, nonperishable food, cleaning/household supplies or personal hygiene products, please drop off items by 4:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 12. See the list below for suggested items, and please keep items in bags or boxes when possible.

If you can volunteer to pack boxes at the Plant Ops warehouse on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m, RSVP to Sara Fennessy at fennesss@cf.edu.

Please bring donations to one of these collection boxes:

  • At the Ocala Campus
    • Ewers Century Center, Building 40 – Communications Center
    • Carol Smith, Bryant Student Union, Building 5 – Room 202
    • Lois Kohlweiss, Learning Resources Center, Building 3 – Room 101
    • Cindy Baldwin, Public Service, Building 31 – Room 108
  • At the Wilton Simpson Citrus Campus,
    • Justine Govantes, Administrative House, Building C1– Room 101
  • At the Jack Wilkinson Levy Campus

    • Ready-to-eat canned soups
    • Peanut butter and jelly
    • Crackers
  • Cleaning and other household supplies, for example:
    • Paper towels, paper plates and cups
    • Plastic utensils
    • Bleach
    • Detergent
    • Dish Soap
    • Sponges and rags
    • Gloves
    • Flashlights
    • Batteries

Personal hygiene items, for example:  

    • Toothpaste
    • Toothbrushes
    • Soap
    • Shampoo
    • Toilet paper
    • Hand wipes/sanitizer
    • Hair brushes
    • Sunscreen
