In recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day, CF’s Humanities and Social Sciences Department presents “Voyages to Freedom,” an exhibit developed by Humanities New York. The exhibit will be on display in the Ewers Century Center the week of April 9, and is co-sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League. The exhibit traces the immigration of the Jewish people to the Americas starting with their expulsion from Spain in 1492 through the 20th century. “Voyages to Freedom” pays tribute to the courage of Jewish immigrants seeking freedom from oppression and bigotry and reminds us that opportunity often comes with great dangers as well as rewards.
